Currently , the hilltops and slopes in many country parks do not have trees growing on them . without the protection of plants , they are exposed to serious erosion , hence prone to landslips and soil loss , causing visual blights to the country parks
现时不少郊野公园的山顶及山坡均没有树木生长，这些土地由于没有植物的保护而被严重侵蚀，容易造成山泥倾泻及土石流失，破坏郊野公园的景观。
However , i have learnt that in a number of places in the new territories , such as pat heung , ping shan and tin shui wai , the streams are heavily polluted as a result of illegal discharges , which not only constitutes a visual blight , but also causes foul smell and mosquito breeding , posing health hazards to the local residents
然而，本人获悉，新界多处地方(例如八乡、屏山及天水围)的溪流因非法排放而受到严重污染，不但破坏景观，更造成臭味及蚊虫滋生问题，危害居民的健康。
